At Christmas, they gave me a proper, old fashioned sewing box with loads of cotton, needles, pins, scissors and stuff in it, which I loved.

What I would like now - I would be perfectly happy with a Bunnings voucher (Bunnings is a hardware warehouse here in Perth, Western Australia), you can buy anything - except clothes or jewellery. And I have my eye on a dremel [a kind of power tool, apparently! - AHF]...!
